Music at Union Chapel

Union Chapel has been blessed with a fine music program throughout its nearly 150 year history.  Many distinguished Organist / Music Directors have served the congregation, including S. Lewis Elmer, Harold Heeremans, Gary Zwicky, Garrett Brown, David Rhoderick, and currently William Peek.  For over a century, worship services have featured congregational singing and vocal selections offered by a professional vocal quartet.  Music at the services is drawn from a wide variety of sources.  Anthems in recent years have ranged from works of Bach, Mozart, and Schütz to African American Spirituals, gospel, and jazz. The 10:00 am services are preceded by 20 minutes of organ preludes.
