Twelfth Baptist Church - Boston, MA


Rev. Willie Bodrick, II, J.D., M.Div.
is the Senior Pastor of the historic Twelfth Baptist Church in Boston, MA, where he leads with a focus on faith, community impact, and social justice. Under his leadership, the church expanded critical outreach efforts during the pandemic, including vaccination, food security, and community support initiatives.

He also serves as President & CEO of The American City Coalition, advancing workforce development and economic opportunity across Boston neighborhoods. A graduate of Georgetown University, Harvard Divinity School, and Northeastern University School of Law, Rev. Bodrick is recognized nationally for his leadership in ministry, civic engagement, and community empowerment.

June 28th - Reverend Joanne Hus

United Methodist Church of Martha's Vineyard


Rev. Joanne Hus is a minister, designer, and artist whose work bridges faith, creativity, and antiracist practice. She earned her Master of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology and after a distinguished 40-year career in visual arts and graphic design, she was commissioned as a provisional elder in the United Methodist Church in 2023.

She serves on the New England Conference Commission on Religion and Race and was part of the inaugural graduate research cohort at the Boston University Center for Antiracist Research, founded by Ibram X. Kendi. Rev. Hus is currently pursuing her Doctor of Ministry degree, focusing on the development of theologically grounded antiracist practices.

Claire Seguin, DNP, RN
, serves as President & CEO of Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, where she is dedicated to expanding access to high-quality, patient-centered healthcare for the Island community. A nurse and healthcare executive, Claire has held leadership roles across the Mass General Brigham system, including positions at Massachusetts General Hospital and Nantucket Cottage Hospital.

Her leadership focuses on operational excellence, workforce support, and community collaboration to improve health outcomes. Claire also serves as a clinical lecturer at Harvard Medical School and teaches at both the MGH Institute of Health Professions and Northeastern University.

Rev. Shannon Johnson Kershner
joined Central Presbyterian Church staff in July 2023. Kershner has more than 20 years of experience in ministry with PC (USA) at multiple churches throughout the United States.

Most recently, she has served as the Senior Pastor/Head of Staff at Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago, a position she began in May 2014.

Rev. Dr. Gina Marcia Stewart
is Senior Pastor of Christ Missionary Baptist Church, where she has served since 1995 as the first African American woman elected to lead an established Black Baptist congregation in Memphis and Shelby County. Under her leadership, the church has experienced significant growth and expanded to more than 50 ministries focused on spiritual and community transformation.

Dr. Stewart holds degrees from the University of Memphis, Memphis Theological Seminary, and Interdenominational Theological Center, and currently serves as President of the Lott Carey Foreign Mission Convention — the first woman in the organization’s history to hold the role. A nationally respected preacher, educator, and author, Dr. Stewart is recognized for her leadership in ministry, justice, and faith-based community impact.

Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II
is a nationally recognized pastor, author, educator, and social justice advocate. He serves as President of Repairers of the Breach, Co-Chair of the Poor People’s Campaign, and Pastor of Greenleaf Christian Church.

Widely known as the architect of the Moral Mondays movement, Rev. Barber has led major national campaigns focused on voting rights, economic justice, and moral public policy. He is also a Visiting Professor at Union Theological Seminary and the author of several influential books on faith and justice. Rev. Barber’s leadership and advocacy have earned national recognition, including the 2018 MacArthur Foundation “Genius Grant.”

Rev. Maureen Gerald
of First Baptist Church of Princeton is a Spiritual Director at Princeton Theological Seminary, U.S. Congressional Interfaith Director for New Jersey’s 12th District, and founder of Momentum Counseling, Coaching & Consulting LLC. Her work focuses on the intersection of contemplative theology, mental wellness, and justice-centered leadership.

A survivor of the 2010 Haiti earthquake, Rev. Gerald’s journey inspired her commitment to healing and contemplative practice, which was featured by Dateline NBC. She has received national and international recognition for her leadership and community impact, and has studied at Columbia University and Princeton Theological Seminary.
